Dames di Cartone – “Cardboard Women” by Christian Tagliavini
Swiss-Italian; Artist and Photographer. ‘Dames
di Cartone’ consists
of two dimensionally outfitted portraits that emulate Cubistic, 17th century
and Fifties
fashions. It
uses corrugated,
cut and coloured
cardboard
and plywood, the craftsmanship applied to live models makes for an interesting series;
relates it to visions within the themes of Cubism.

ready-to-wear and accessories collections. Andrew’s take
in his Spring/Summer 2014 collection pays homage to extraordinary modern
designers and artists such as Gio Ponti, Carlo Mollino, Fernand Léger, Georges Braque, Pablo
Picasso and
Peter Doig.
